i dont understand why when you go to a "fancy" restrunt why the food is so expensive like if i order a shrimp dinner i might if i get lucky get foyr piceces of shrimp whats up with that i want a whole meal not four piceces of so called shrimp and the thing is ill oay $5o for it thats just not right

First of all, thats the mentality here in the USA... we want cheap food and fast. Would you rather get served by any kid off the street that is getting minimum wage, has no formal training and does not give a dam about what type of farmed shrimp you get and could care less about sanitation? Or would you rather go to eat somewhere, for example someone like me is working, where I will get paid $13 minimum to cook for you some fresh gulf coast shrimp to the exact temperature, know my seasons and when to buy what from which purveyor, with the appropriate starches and vegetables which I am aware of of what good calories are, and know how to sanitize my entire work area... Good, natural, healthy food will never be cheap... good, honest, disciplined chefs will never work cheap!!! It is RIGHT what they charge, question is where does your priority stand?
